OUR INSTRUCTORS

Brendan.png

I'm passionate about fitness and committed to helping others achieve their goals, I'm a certified group fitness instructor with a dynamic and motivational approach. With a background in strength & weight training, HIIT, boxing and a range of other sports, I like to design high-energy workouts that challenge and inspire participants of all fitness levels.

Believing that fitness should be both effective and enjoyable, it should also foster a supportive environment where everyone feels empowered to push their limits. Whether leading a heart-pumping cardio session, a strength-focused circuit I tend to bring enthusiasm, expertise, and a commitment to helping others build confidence and strength.

Janece is an Art teacher and Australian watercolour illustrator living on the leafy outskirts of Melbourne.

Home is amongst the gum trees, with roaming blue tongue lizards, colourful birdlife and a pond with teeny-tiny frogs.

Janece loves creating whimsical,  colourful designs that celebrate the beauty of nature and invite us to appreciate those little moments.

Botanical art and smiling bees, ladybirds and small creatures, are her signature style, bringing smiles to those around her.

All her artwork starts as a pencil sketch on paper. Colour is added using watercolour paints and brushes. Final touches come through either intricate pencil outlines or digital paints.

As well as adding new cards to a now extensive greeting card range, Janece works on freelance projects; whether it’s post cards for a local festival, a series of greeting cards to sell in store or an inspirational set of motivation cards.

Judi Hamilton is a passionate yoga instructor based in Warrandyte, Melbourne, focusing on mindfulness and wellness through yoga practices.

Judi emphasises a gentle and inclusive approach in her classes, aiming to create a nurturing environment for all participants.

She integrates methods and techniques designed to foster mindfulness, self-awareness, inner peace, and overall well-being. Her teachings are particularly tailored for individuals over 50, helping them strengthen their bodies, calm their minds, and age gracefully through yoga â€‹

Judi's work extends beyond individual classes. She actively engages with her community by sharing yoga practices that foster physical health and mental clarity. Her classes often focus on building a community where students feel safe and supported in their wellness journeys.

When I was 17, I got my first teaching job as a junior instructor, substituting a children's dance class. In high school, I used to love being called upon by my dance instructors to run the warm ups.

While I studied my Bachelor's of Dance at California State University Fullerton, I taught dance and worked in the

entertainment industry in Los Angeles to pay for Uni. In fact my first introduction to Pilates was teaching Nicole Scherzinger how to articulate her ankle using the Wunda Chair while filming a gym commercial.

My entire career over the past twenty years has always been fitness focused. Teaching dance lead to performing/competing which lead to learning aerials which lead to teaching circus arts. Recently, I decided I was ready for another shift in my career which lead me to Pilates. These days, I'm most interested in rehabilitation and the holistic approach to overall body wellness.

I look around at people all day and envision how I would help them with their posture and stride. Movement is just something that's been engrained in me. It's all I've ever known, and it continues to be the drive within me. I hope to inspire my students, heal them and keep them agile and healthy for as long as possible.

Sabine has completed the Nia White Belt training.

Moving and dancing is my way to connect to life, it stirs my soul and makes me feel alive. Nia connects me to an inner awareness that finds a unique expression through exploring its different movement forms.

Over the years I have witnessed transformations in myself and others, having danced the Nia way to tone my body and tune my mind, learning to move and “be” with ease, improving muscle strength and happiness, developing inner and outer flexibility, balance and coordination, letting go and letting flow.

I am a teacher and student who remains curious, stepping into each class with enthusiasm, experiencing the dance as meditation with never-ending wonderment at the depth of this practice. I desire that each student can also experience freedom, self-expression, the joy of movement, and remarkable vitality.

I am formally trained in Jazz-Dance, Aerobics, Gymnastics, Modern Qigong, Ageless Grace, and Rhythmic Movement Training (Primitive Reflex Integration) 1-3. I am also a qualified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher (MBSM)  and an Ex-Architect who loves art.”

I have been passionate about fitness for years and I finalised my qualifications in December 2024. I enjoy seeing people having fun and staying fit and healthy. I also enjoy being a make up artist, helping to create memorable moments of celebration in people's lives.

I currently teach cardio and weight training classes across all age groups, a mobility and strengthening class which is great fun, and I love exploring new techniques and classes.

Can’t wait to meet you Warrandyte!

I believe that Yoga is for all body shapes, sizes and ages. If you have stiff joints, an achy body and depleted energy you will benefit from Yoga. Yoga will help relax your body and mind, and build helpful mental attitudes. I believe that Yoga is for all body shapes, sizes and ages. Yoga will help relax your body and mind, and build helpful mental attitudes.

Yoga is adaptable. Postures and breathing practices can be modified to suit your bodies needs. It is a “no pressure” approach to exercise. Yoga aims to nourish stiff joints, and release aching muscles. At the same time it will strengthen and rebalance the body.

Yoga releases stress through deep relaxation techniques and breathing practices. Its helps develop hopeful attitudes and relaxed mental habits are encouraged through meditative practices. This builds energy and resilience.

I have been teaching Yoga for over 30 years. My classes are based on gentle movement. I am a registered Senior level 3 Yoga teacher and Yoga teacher trainer. I am also a Meditation teacher trained and certified by Dr Deepak Chopra and Dr David Frawley.

I welcome you to the practice of Yoga.
